Because of our location close to the centre of London and our skill at putting on a good parade, W (Westminster Dragoons) Squadron, The Royal Yeomanry are often asked to do ceremonial duties.

In November 2004, W Sqn RY had the honour of representing the whole Territorial Army at the Cenotaph Parade in Whitehall on Remembrance Sunday: that task was given to us again in 2007.  The squadron has also sent several members of the squadron to Australia to take part in their Reserve Forces Day Parade.

Annually, the squadron also attends the Cavalry Memorial Parade in Hyde Park and the Field of Remembrance in Westminster Abbey, honouring those who have gone before.

We also take part the in the Lord Mayor’s Show in the City of London each year.
