If you are aged between 12 and 17 and a half, and you are interested in joining the Westminster Dragoons, we recommend that you join one of the two ACF units which are linked to us.

The ACF is not part of the Army: there would be no pressure on you to sign up. But it would give you excellent preparation and training in skills that would be useful when you come to us, such as first aid, navigation, fieldcraft, survival and skill-at-arms. You would also gain in confidence, assertiveness, stamina, physical courage, leadership, teamwork and problem-solving.
Cadets train once or twice a week and occasional weekends. In addition, there is a two-week annual camp once a year.
