Ceremonial

Because of our location close to the centre of London and our skill at putting on a good parade we are often asked to volunteer for ceremonial duties.

In November 2004 the Westminster Dragoons had the honour of representing the Territorial Army at the Cenotaph Parade in Whitehall on Remembrance Sunday. We also paraded in Holland Park earlier in that year when the Royal Yeomanry received the Freedom of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, as well as sending several members of the squadron to Australia to take part in their Reserve Forces Day Parade during July 2004.

Annually, the squadron also attends the Cavalry Memorial Parade in Hyde Park which keeps alive the links between the past members and those still serving as well as honouring those who have gone before.

We also take part the in the City of London's Lord Mayor's Show each year. To find out more click here.
