Training

At any time on operations, Westminster Dragoons can be required to perform as front line soldiers. We devote a lot of time to training in the armoured and infantry roles as well as for CBRN tasks.

We will most often operate in the mounted role as NBC reconnaissance soldiers. This makes it important to practise the tactics of movement in vehicles.

The squadron uses Land Rovers for foundation tactical training. Many exercises practise working as a recce troop or squadron. We also train for other tasks that may be required of us if mobilised.
